Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

- USCIS Case Receipt Numbers that you provide for tracking
- Community content including posts, comments, and interactions you create or participate in
When using our Chrome Extension specifically, we may collect:
- USCIS Case Information read from the USCIS website when you are logged in
- Authentication Session Information (accessed but not stored) to retrieve your case details from USCIS
- Website Content from USCIS.gov pages you visit while using the extension (case status, processing times, notices)
- Hub memberships and community participation data
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as your Device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and store certain information. We use these for purposes such as:
- Necessary / Essential Cookies: To authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts.

- For data analysis: We may use your information for data analysis, identifying usage trends, and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, and your experience. All case data used for broader analysis (e.g., processing time trends) is anonymized and aggregated.
Retention of Your Personal Data
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
- Account Data: Your case numbers and profile information will be stored until you delete them or delete your account.
- Community Content: Posts and comments you create will remain in the community unless you delete them. However, if you delete your account, your content may remain but will be anonymized.
- Moderation Records: Records of community guideline violations may be retained for safety and moderation purposes even after account deletion.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to β and maintained on β computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the Personal Data that we have collected about you.
- Account Deletion: You may delete your case numbers, profile information, or your entire account at any time from your account settings page.
- Content Deletion: You can delete your individual posts and comments from the community at any time.
- Data Removal Request: You may contact us at mchub0617@gmail.com to request the permanent deletion of your data. We will respond to your request in a timely manner.
- Important Note: Some community content may remain visible even after deletion for the integrity of ongoing discussions, but will be anonymized and disassociated from your account.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
We do not sell or rent your Personal Data. We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company.
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.
- Protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public.
- Protect against legal liability.
Security of Your Personal Data

4. Chrome Extension Specific Privacy
Data Collection and Usage
Our Chrome Extension is designed with privacy in mind and follows these principles:
- Limited Scope: The extension only operates on USCIS.gov domains
- Minimal Permissions: We only request the minimum permissions necessary to function
- Local Storage: Case tracking data is stored locally in your browser, not on external servers
- No Background Tracking: The extension only activates when you visit USCIS.gov
- Session Data: We access but do not store your USCIS login session; it's only used temporarily to retrieve your case information
Chrome Web Store Declarations
In compliance with Chrome Web Store policies, we declare that our extension:
- Does NOT sell user data to third parties
- Does NOT transfer user data to third parties (except as required for the extension's core functionality of displaying USCIS case information)
- Does NOT use user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose (tracking USCIS cases)
- Does NOT use or transfer user data for creditworthiness determination or lending purposes
Data Types Handled by the Extension
The Chrome Extension handles the following data types:
- Personally Identifiable Information: USCIS case receipt numbers
- Authentication Information: USCIS website login sessions (accessed but not stored)
- Website Content: Text and data from USCIS.gov pages
Browser Storage
The extension uses browser local storage to:
- Save your case numbers for quick access
- Store case status information for offline viewing
- Remember your preferences and settings
This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to sync with your MyCasesHub account.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
6. Links to Other Websites
Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
